The Fine Tuned project has brought together five groups of Western NC musicians in order to provide them with mentorship and professional recording experience. Enabling musicians to collaborate on old-time, bluegrass, sacred tunes as well as their own compositions, the project has fostered invaluable experience in the music industry, while providing a means to recognize the variety of burgeoning talent in contemporary Appalachian music communities. The work of Fine Tuned has already born fruit in the shape of a 10-track vinyl LP, which represents a signpost forward for the traditional music of North Carolina! reel: Lindsay Blatt
