Governor Josh Stein has declared June as Pride Month in North Carolina! Pride Month recognizes the history and contributions of LGBTQ+ individuals in the state. Pride Month is a celebration of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer life. It commemorates the struggles LGBTQ folk have faced (the first Pride came out of Stonewall, a riot) and the resulting movements to build power for a more just and welcoming world.
